چکیده
This paper present the treatment of prepositions and conjunctionsinnatural languageinterfacestodatabases(NLIDB)thatallowsbetter translation of queries expressed in natural language into formal languages. Prepositions and conjunctionsweren’t sufficiently studied for their usage in NLIDBs,becausemostoftheNLIDBsjust lookforkeywordsinthesentences and focus their analysis on nouns and verbs getting rid of auxiliary words in the query. This paper shows that prepositions and conjunctions can be represented as operations using formal set theory. Additionally, since prepositionsand conjunctionskeep theirmeaning in any context, their treatment is domain independent. A Domain Independent Natural Language Interface to Databases Capable of Processing Complex Queries
We present a method for creating natural language interfaces to databases (NLIDB) that allow for translating natural language queries into SQL. The method is domain independent, i.e., it avoids the tedious process of configuring the NLIDB for a given domain. We automatically generate the domain dictionary for query translation using semantic metadata of the database. Our semantic representation...

متن کاملA Theory of Semantic Relations for Large Scale Natural Language Processing
Even a superficial meaning representation of a text requires a system of semantic labels that characterize the relations between the predicates in the text and their arguments. The semantic interpretation of syntactic subjects and objects, of prepositions and subordinate conjunctions has been treated in numerous books and papers with titles including words like DEEP CASES, CASE ROLES, SEMANTIC ...
متن کاملAttacking Parsing Bottlenecks with Unlabeled Data and Relevant Factorizations
Prepositions and conjunctions are two of the largest remaining bottlenecks in parsing. Across various existing parsers, these two categories have the lowest accuracies, and mistakes made have consequences for downstream applications. Prepositions and conjunctions are often assumed to depend on lexical dependencies for correct resolution. As lexical statistics based on the training set only are ...

Considering the relationship between Linguistics and Translation Studies, the theoretical framewor...
